Ranjib Biswas is one of the new coming young musicians born in a family of music and fine arts. He got his first talim in tabla from Pt. Nitya Gopal Saha (disciple of Padmabhushan Pt. Gyanprokash Ghosh of Farukhabad Gharana and later on under international famed Legendary Mastero Pt. Shankar Ghosh, the pioneer of Farukhabad Gharana. He got Post Graduate Degree (M. Mus.) in Music from Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan.

Rajib is giving Tabla solo performancesat several reputed places like Sangeet Natak Academy, Patna; Rajya Sangeet Academy, Kolkata; Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh, Varanasi etc. As Tabla accompanist he accompanied many senior reputed Artists like Smt. Vidushi Madhumita Roy (Vocal); Sri Saugata Roy Choudhury (Sarod); Prof. Swapan Ghosh (Sitar); Pt. Prashanto Banja (Sitar); Sri Abin Singh Khangura (Esraj); Shri Gaurav Majumder (Sitar); Pt. Prateek Chaudhury (Sitar) etc. He conducted many Rhythm Orchestra with Pt. Mallar Ghosh like Drum Dream, Rhythms of Indian Drums, Drums of India. Ranjib is also promoting Indian Classical Music and Fine Arts through his institute Sur Sangam Kala Academy since 2010 at Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi. More than 100 students performing every year with support from Sur Sangam Kala Academy all over India.

Presently he is the staff artist (Tabla) at Music Department, Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, University of Delhi.
